Photography, a new decorative trend

The decoration now has a new string to its bow by integrating more and more photography. Our interiors are thus adorned with vacation photos but also with art photos. And during the summer, you will certainly have the opportunity to enrich your collection… July is the undeniable month of photography! It is during the summer period that you can discover festivals entirely dedicated to this art. If you take a vacation in the south, don't hesitate and take a tour of the Rencontres d'Arles with no less than 47 exhibitions from July 4 to September 18. A few hours away, you will also have the opportunity to hunt for old photographs in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue where the antique dealers have taken over the city. But if you go to the mountains, I invite you to the 1st Mont Blanc Photo Festival which takes place from July 16 to August 16. For this festival, I have in fact proposed to five municipalities in the Pays du Mont Blanc to create an inter-municipal photographic journey which celebrates photographers of regional, national and international renown. In total, around twenty exhibitions in the great outdoors or in prestigious rooms will present photographs that make the art of the mountains. Finally, wherever you go, pack a camera in your suitcases to immortalize your vacation. The good news is that when you return, you can offer them a new dimension. In addition to the photo books that we already know well, you can create a whole bunch of decorative objects from your photos: place mats, cushions, Japanese panels, mugs ... With this kind of object, the artist, and you ! The winner of the 1st Mont Blanc Photo Festival is Pierre Vallet.
