Women are also renovating their homes!

Renovating is a very strong word, a man's word which inevitably evokes heavy and too physical things for women. However, the Rénover salon, which takes place from March 16 to 18 at the Porte de Versailles in Paris, has decided to broaden its offer to give this world of big arms a touch of femininity. The revolution is on… To renovate your house, you have to know how to tinker and it seems that it is not a woman's story. However, the trend is reversing and today the manufacturers of drills and other tools are more and more interested in women with products that are much more manageable and sometimes even aesthetic. The 2012 edition of the Rénover fair has just decided to focus on DIY for women. For that, they invited Lilibricole which offers fun workshops to teach women to do everything themselves. During the three days of the fair, you can learn how to fix your kitchen furniture, install tiles, prepare a wall or change your sockets. So of course we do not yet entrust women with the task of tearing down a partition or insulating the attic, but this is a real turning point. Women indeed take power in the house beyond the fields to which they are usually confined. The decoration is good but they no longer want to stick to this action and now think of the whole habitat, both in technical and aesthetic aspects. Finally, everyone realizes the importance of the house in the broad sense and wants to make a contribution to the building. This is also why more and more men are interested in decoration. And for a solid house, nothing like a man / woman partnership and that since the construction itself. We would like to thank the Rénover salon for paving the way for women. And who knows, in a few years, we may meet more women there than men! All Cendrine Dominguez's items Photo credit: Pierre Olivier / TEVA
